Chiang Rai 1 night - Chiang Mai 4 nights special programDay 1 : Arrive Chiang Rai International Airport
meet/assist by local English speaking guide and transfer to hotel for check in.
Depart the hotel to visit the black house (Bann Dum) and drive through the picturesque mountain area with a stop at the tea plantation.
Drive further north to Maesai the bustling border town and lunch is served at local restaurant.
Continue to the Golden Triangle area, where the borders of Thailand, Laos and Burma
convene and a stop will be made at the opium museum. Return to the hotel and overnight in Chiang Rai.
Day 2: Leave the hotel for 1 hour boat ride to Karen Ruam Mitr hilltribe village, well known as the village of elephant mahouts.
Continue overland to visit the magnificent temple of Wat Rong Khun, the white temple.
Then start the trip to Chiang Mai. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Day 3: Set off in the morning to visit an orchid farm then proceed to the forested area of Mae Tang.
Upon arrival take a chance to walk around and feed the elephants
then proceed to see them enjoy their daily bath in the river.
Continue to see these gentle creatures showing their talent and hauling timber during the show.
After that there is a chance to take 45 minutes elephant ride through the jungle area and return to the camp.
Lunch will be provided at the restaurant in the camp. Then proceed with bamboo rafting along scenic Mae Taman river.
On the way back to Chiangmai the last stop will be made at the long-necked Kayan village along with Lahu and Palong tribe.
Day 4: Depart from the hotel and drive through the old city of Chiangmai
will give you the impression of the layout and unique atmosphere of this northern city.
Visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the famous hilltop temple,
containing a holy relic of Buddha and is reached by 306 steps, flanked by mythical Nagas balustrade on either side.
The panoramic views of city from the temple ground are truly spectacular on a clear day.
Continue to visit Wat Chedi Luang temple, which consist of an impressive pagoda, originally built in 1401
and partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1545 and this temple also houses the city foundation pillar.
Continue to visit Chiang mai China Town and the local fresh food market to experience the northern Thai way of life.
Lunch will be provided at local restaurant.
After lunch proceed to the famous handicrafts area to see silverware making, lacquer ware, umbrella making and Thai silk weaving.
Day 5: For those who prefers the embrace of nature Doi Inthanon,
2,565 metres above sea level - the highest mountain in Thailand is probably the most pleasant break from the city.
With an hour drive from Chiangmai to the fertile jungle to invigorate yourself with fresh and cool mountain air.
This tour takes you to see Mae Ya waterfall with the hight 280 meters.
Continue to the twin pagodas -built by royal Thai airforce to honor King Bhumipol and Queen Sirikit, arrive the summit.
Then have a chance to do a short trek to experience the beauty and natural treasure of Doi Inthanon.
Then proceed with and unforgettable short walk through the forest to approach Siritarn waterfall.
Continue the trip to visit Wachiratarn waterfall and lunch will be served picnic style then return to the hotel.
Day 6: Transfer to Chiangmai airport.
